Disability and mental health services

In the Styrian Federal Province the Saint John of God Hospitaller Services has several locations. The headquarters are situated in Kainbach bei Graz. At the various facilities intellectually, mentally and multiply impaired people are accompanied and cared for by a multi-professional team. Empathy, compassion and respect for dignity are in addition to professionalism the bedrock for holistic support and care. Great emphasis is placed on training and further education of the co-workers.

Depending on the location full-time assisted living, training living, part-time assisted living or short term care are offered. Care plans are individually drawn up, implemented and evaluated for each person cared for. The nursing expertise includes pain and wound management, falls prevention, emergency care, continence and stoma counselling, aromatherapy and much more.

A primary goal is to enable the people cared for to lead as independent a life as possible. There are a variety of work and occupational opportunities for the clients of our services. Excursions, holidays, festivities and sporting activities promote social encounters and enable participation in society.

About Kainbach

Kainbach bei Graz, a small municipality with 2,900 inhabitants, is located only 6 kilometres north-east of Graz and is easily accessible by public transport. The beautiful landscape is characterised by detached houses, meadows and forests. Extensive walks allow you to get in touch with nature.
